Hooray! I've finally got my act together and organised the next round of workshops I'll be conducting interested people to take part in. It's the second weekend of August, to be held at Earthwise, Subiaco in Western Australia. Ooo yeah ... it is such a delight and a joy to play with wood!
The Friday night and Saturday workshops are open to people aged 12 to 112.
The Sunday workshops are primarily aimed at parents and kids working together, with the entry age lowered to 6.
Here's the menu:
Friday 10 August
6:00am—9:00pm Make Kitchen Spatulas & Salad Servers
Take your new creations home, to toss a salad and cook up a storm!
Saturday 11 August
9:00am—12:00 noon Make a Kitchen Chopping Board
Your beautiful board will enhance your kitchen for years to come.
1:00pm—5:00pm Make a Wooden Spoon
Not only is it a lovely functional item - each spoon is a unique reflection of it’s maker!
6:00pm—9:00pm Make a Useful Carry Box
You’ll reckon it’s too good to use!
Sunday 12 August : Parents and kids making stuff together!
9:00am—12:00noon Make a Cajon Drum.
We’ll make ‘em and play ‘em! Then take your wonderful drums home and get jamming.
1:00pm—4:00pm Make a bat roosting box!
Encourage these nocturnal insect catchers to live at your place, by making a home for them.
